hey bloggie! time for a post...lol you may be wondering why i even decided to post sth since my life hasnt been very exciting the past few weeks, but well i'm free now...free in the sense that i dun haf the inspiration to do any schwork...free cos i declared myself free...haha...anyway the fasting month is here, so yes, it's the time to lose weight. of cos thats not the rationale for fasting...oh no, all this talk abt rationale is, of cos, the after-effects of Malay Studs tutorial. I'm usually stupefied every time i come out of the MS tutorial room, but yesterday i felt i got sth out of the tutorial. maybe its becos the lecturer was in quite a good mood...maybe becos this time my questions didnt sound that stupid to him. i dunno...but he said sth which is very true, even up till today...many people get degrees by studying but not learning...engineers can haf a degree in engineering without understanding the rationale behind all the machines and how it helps improve our lives, or make production more efficient. oh well i think what he said made real sense to me...lol...
oh yea, its been a few weeks since i took up archery, and i'm glad that generally my shots are alright...whats not good is my inconsistency...i can get shots into the good range for the first hr, and in the next hr, my shots go haywire...up, down, left, right...in the last 1/2 hr, i was practically making a clock with all the arrows, shooting in the 1 o'clock direction, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock and so on...haha...think its gd that i join archery...can release stress...joining recre makes it even better...cos i can enjoy myself without the hassle of being in the committee...so in that sense, not getting into the comm is not that bad...but anyhow, my left arm is hurting...muscleache...dint realise it until i got home from the EL test just now. it takes quite a lot to keep shooting for 2 hrs, only with minimal breaks...and the breaks are actually for the retrieval of arrows from the board. very hard to concentrate and to keep my shots consistent. but no worries...i'll try harder...
looking at the previous paragraphs, i realise that i didnt blog not because i had nothing to write abt, but maybe becos i was too busy and tired to come to blogger to drop a post. I'm online most of the time that i'm at home actually, but i just cannot spare that half an hr to type here cos there's so many other things to do...essay drafts, tutorials, downloading and printing lecture notes etc...for the past few days, i dint even bother signing in to MSN, cos i'd put my status as AWAY or BUSY anyway. oh well, all this for a purpose nevertheless...so i shall not make too big a fuss out of it.
on a lighter note, I'm happy Sylvester is still in SI...dint catch him last nite, but trina said last nite's show wasnt too good except for the last 2 performers, so haha i didnt miss much i guess...btw, haf i commented on his hair yet? dunno whether i did this last week, but sigh i think its a bit ugly...prefer the old hair colour...i dunno whether its me, but i think i haf a problem with blonde hair on Asians...highlighting and darker shades of brown are still alright for me, but blonde seems to out of the question...dunno why. a lot of times, the color just doesnt suit the skin...ok i have no right to say who should haf whatever hair color, but i'm just expressing my opinion. to each his own...
lastly, I'd like to tell you why I have not made any comments abt the recent beckham fiasco...thats precisely it...cos it has blown up to gain its "status" as a fiasco, i reckon it'd be best for me to keep quiet rather than add on to the thousands of lines already in the newspapers and tabloids. becks is my fav player nevertheless...if only he wasnt that famous, however u want famous to mean...
