I'VE MADE MY DECISION...
yes i've finally made my decision...been thinking abt it the past few days...what i couldnt seem to decide on was whether to go for the Badminton IVP trials...well, quite a lot of things went thru my mind when i tried to decide what was the best for myself...firstly, by gg for trials and if i get in[they got 8 players and they need 2 more players], i'll get to train with the creme de la creme of badminton...cos IVP standard is really high...and we'f got 2 former under-17 champions in the IVP team...the fact that training constantly keeps me in better shape also tells me i shd go...and by gg, i wouldnt be wasting all my effort training with the school team for the past 6 yrs...but then again, there are reasons for me not to go...and it hinges on the first point i made just now...i'll be training with the creme de la creme of badminton...much as i can try to pressure them abit and get them to play my pace, i'll most probably be relegated to being just a reserve cos they can repeat players...and being a reserve is not very fun cos i've been in that position before and i dun think i wanna be in that position anymore in uni...furthermore, since i've been playing badminton for 6 yrs, why not try a new sport, one that may harness my hidden talent sumwhere else, if there is? also, i'm not staying in a hall so actually, i dun even need to join a CCA...i told myself i'd be joining a CCA that's fun and that can allow me to relax, giving me a break from studying...thats precisely it...the past 6 yrs, badminton was definitely not relaxing, in fact i think it's a bit more stressful than studying lor...cos i'd haf to worry abt running the team well, team problems, worry abt my place in the team...of cos there's the final joy of winning the championship and all, but it took a lot to reach to that level of joy that we got to feel...so anyway, i've made my decision to let the thing pass...but I've come up with an alternative, n i hope everything will turn out well...btw, I went for the archery welcome tea yesterday...altho we didnt do any arrowing yest, at the end of the welcome session they gave everyone a slip of paper...to put in our names if we intend to run for the archery committee...all the 3 of us, me, trina and angel put our names down...even tho there's no guarantee we will get into the committee, it'll be interesting if i get into the comm with my frens...cos it'll be a bit different from the posts i used to hold in the past...running to be in the logistics comm for this round...not very glam i know but i think it's sumthing different from the normal cap and vice-cap post...yea and i get to shoot!!! altho its not with pistols and rifles, its ineteresting anyway...the wonders of the bow and arrow...lol...oh yea and i've decided to join inter-faculty badminton, if arts fac decides to send a team...in this way, i'll not just dump my badminton skills in sum corner, and on top of that, i get to learn a new sport, which is archery....so yea i hope i'll haf a fun time in archery!!! :P
