"Record Turnout Forecast; Vote Drives Intensify", ROBERT D. McFADDEN, November 2, 2004.]:
Many employers are giving workers time off to vote; one in New York is offering an extra vacation day as a reward for voting. A Pennsylvania professor is giving students extra credit for casting a ballot, and one in New Jersey was reported to have spoken about making voting a requirement for passing her course. If it rains in Cleveland today, volunteers will stand in lines with umbrellas and ponchos to keep voters dry.
i just sigh...if people wanna vote, they will...so why go to this extent? sigh...
