Quotable quotes I see

"Losing one's own confidence causes a person to fall into confusion, which is hell...To maintain one's confidence, the most important thing is stamina."

Today's not a good day...and that is an understatement! my juniors dint manage to get into the finals, and the bad thing abt it was they LOST TO VJ, the hyprocritical lot! my not-so-gd-feelings abt the VJ badminton team hasnt quite seen its high point for quite along time, until today when things just went crumbling...impression of them went from bad to worse, and they just cant seem to learn how to be nicer ppl...anyway, since my gd fren Angel Koh doesnt haf a blog, i shall say this on her behalf...like what trina said,"Today has opened a new chapter to Angel's life". A new chapter that tells simple or innocent ppl like angel that the world is not as nice as we may think, and that human beings can be the most hedious creatures on Earth even though God made us to be the prettiest and brainiest...anyway, why do i say this? cos i realised that sum ppl are just out to make a fool of themselves...and can u believe it, one of the top 5 JCs has fools almost all over the place? when u lose, u look so angry and black u wanna eat ppl up. when u win, u gladly treat others as seniors, whom u dun even bother to greet or say hi to when they make their trips back to their alma mater. So, who's the senior? That's definitely ME...and what abt the "u"? That's actually my damn junior from VJ! k i shdnt even bother to mention her as a junior, cos in fact, she doesnt even treat me as a senior at all! Trina shares the same fate as me cos both of us chose to go to TJ...and to say the truth, even if u gif me 100 more choices, I'll still put TJ as my first choice...always...what gd does it do if a gd sch influences u to be scheming or hypocritical? After my brief stay in TJ, i've come to realise that I'm more or less used to defeat. And I guess what Mrs Goh said during the team talk after the match just now bears sum truth. That she doesnt need to worry abt us when we leave TJ, cos we will leave TJ with CHARACTER. She says if she takes charge of the team that keeps winning, the feeling may be boring...only when we haf to face defeat and we come out of it learning our mistakes and moving forward, thats how we become successful ppl in life...Oh btw, the last sentence is my own view...b4 that is what Mrs Goh said roughly...me only remember the more impt words...hehe...Anyways, what angered me most was the fact the winning side cd so hypocritically come over to our side, with one of them hugging one my juniors...and abt the previous incident abt treating me as a senior suddenly, yea the girl just came up to where me and trina were standing and gladly said "BYE SENIORS!!!" WAT DA...?! I dint even bother to look back[we were listening to our juniors' team talk] and say bye to them...It's so sad that ppl from supposedly more renowned schs than TJ are behaving in such a way...ppl wanna win oso will wanna win gracefully...but sadly, sum ppl eye only the title, and will do anything to get it, if it means jeering at ur former counterparts. Hence, I'm glad i make the correct choice...to join TJ badminton...even though i did not even get into the list of 12 in my 2nd yr, what i've learned as a TJ shuttler, through all the ups and downs that me had gone thru with my beloved teammates, is definitely valuable...wouldnt trade it with anything else...the experience...learning that ppl can be so vicious in their methods to attain their goal, i'm glad i was separated from the vicious lot at the end of my sec sch life...so, it's definitely worth the stay in TJ...

to say abt the match itself, my juniors lost 2-3...I was quite surprised when i was informed a day earlier that only 1 yr 2 girl would be in the line-up...and today i sorta discovered that perhaps we still need ppl with more experience...cos badminton at JC level is somewhat diff...in sec sch we spend 4 yrs training with the same ppl and if the team is lucky, everyone would haf shared the same goal...when we enter JC, we realise we haf to get used to more stuff...like working hand-in-hand with ur former enemies, get used to the different "culture" and also methods of training...so perhaps, just perhaps, 1 or 2 more seniors cd haf been featured today...cos even though technically the younger team is better, we haf come to know tat crunch games is NEVER abt technicality...it's nv abt the good team "on paper". Wat matters most is the fighting spirit that the team shows when battling it out with the opponent...i'm not saying that the yr1 haf no fighting spirit...just that perhaps the sniors haf more experience handling crunch games such as the one that just passed...anywayz, we haf to go from where we are now...we cant sit down and brood over the loss and learn nothing from the mistakes we make...hence, if any of the juniors manage to read this [altho i've not come across any juniors who reads my blog, pls do note this, whatever it is we'r still ONE TJ team...we lose together, learn from it together and move on together...so, do keep ur spirits high cos we cant let the VJ ppl's heads grow bigger and bigger...
