Quotable quotes I see

"Losing one's own confidence causes a person to fall into confusion, which is hell...To maintain one's confidence, the most important thing is stamina."

    I'M FINE!!! YAY!

hey bloggie! i better try to make this entry as short as possible cos its 1.41am on my comp clock now and i haf lessons tmr, in fact it's later!!! anyway, my main purpose of blogging today in the wee hrs of the morning is to tell ppl who are concerned abt me or just anyone who passes by my blog in general that I'm fine! all the tests done on me show that what I'm experiencing is just a functional murmur, one that will not interfere with my daily activities. it's interesting and weird too how the doc from YIH insists on me gg for follow-up...waste a lot of money on the heart scan: ECHOCARDIOGRAM...$120 just for heart scan, only to find that my heart is functioning well...i think it's damn interesting if i put down what the SGH specialists and radiologist[or whatever they are called] said to me when i went to see them in the space of 3 weeks:

1st visit to National Heart Centre:

Doc 1: [after checking my heartbeat and BP] ur heart looks pretty normal...just that there are these 2 valves not closing properly, which causes the murmur...anyway the murmur is very mild, n i dun think it will interfere with ur lifestyle.
[sends me for echocardiogram cos he couldnt just tell me straight whats wrong with my heart without all the tests]

2nd visit to National Heart Centre:
[After abt 1/2 hr of applying gel to different parts of my chest and neck and pressing the irritating ultrasound device against my body...]

Radiologist: Your hearts looks fine...shd be ok...we'll just wait for the report and just come for follow-up next 2 weeks.

3rd and hopefully the last visit to National Heart Centre:

[i rejoiced when my no was called without having to wait long, cos i was abt 20mins late for the appt]

    enters the room....

Doc 2: I know you've been worrying abt the murmur in ur heart but as of now, u dun need to worry anymore! Go lead your life as per normal! it's just a functional murmur...[checks my heartbeat to confirm]

    Me: Thanks a lot...

Doc 2: Ok let me check ur BP[blood pressure]...haha actually dun even need to check BP! ur BP's very normal too![the doc laughed some more and for a moment, i thought i was staging a comedy for him!]

    Me: thanks once again!

Doc 2: You're discharged from NHC as of now. just wait for the letter at the counter outside[to be sent to NUS proving i'm fit to be studying in the university]...Bye!

btw, you wouldnt wanna know how "much" time i spent in the doc's room on the 3rd visit...

Gosh...i dunno why the YIH doc had to sent me thru all this trouble man...and as it is, functional murmur is apparently quite common among ppl...next time i go to YIH for any sort of medical matter, i better request not to see that particular old lady doc...cant rem her name, but can remember her face anywhere! now i haf to go YIH to deliver the much-awaited letter...what nonsense!
